Sylloge
Introducing a new way to explore museums in Greece.
Overview
As Sylloge prepared to launch its mobile application for discovering museums across Greece, the goal wasn't to advertise features—it was to introduce the product with the same elegance and simplicity that defined the experience itself.
Rather than relying on promotional messaging, the film presents the interface through cinematic motion, giving potential users a first impression of the product before it reached the market.
The Challenge
Unlike a traditional promotional campaign, this project relied almost entirely on visual storytelling.
Without heavy copy or feature explanations, the experience needed to communicate the quality of the application through pacing, motion, and presentation alone.
The challenge was creating a presentation that felt visually engaging without losing sight of the product itself. Every animation needed to enhance the experience while keeping the interface authentic, clear, and easy to follow.
Creative Direction
Launching a new application is about more than revealing features—it's about shaping the very first impression people have of the product.
For Sylloge, the objective was to create a presentation that felt refined, immersive, and true to the application itself.
A realistic 3D smartphone became the foundation of the visual language, placing the interface in a familiar context while adding depth and realism to every scene. Combined with subtle UI motion and carefully choreographed camera movement, the animation recreates the feeling of discovering the product for the first time.
Rather than relying on fast-paced effects or promotional copy, the motion remains restrained and intentional, allowing the interface, the music, and the rhythm of the film to work together in creating a calm, premium introduction to the app.

Process
Research
The project began with exploring the application's visual identity, navigation, and interface structure to understand how each screen could transition naturally into the next.
3D Development
The smartphone model was created in Cinema 4D before being integrated into After Effects using Element 3D. Materials, lighting, and camera animation were refined to achieve a realistic product presentation while maintaining an efficient production workflow.
Motion Design
Interface animations and transitions were developed in After Effects, focusing on smooth navigation between screens and a presentation that highlighted the application's user experience without overwhelming the viewer.
Sound
Music was selected early in the process and became the foundation for the pacing of the animation. Rather than simply accompanying the visuals, it helped define the overall rhythm and tone of the presentation.

Reflection
Although this project was created in 2020, it still reflects an approach that continues to shape my work today.
It reminded me that not every product needs to be introduced through heavy messaging or complex visuals. Sometimes, the most effective presentation comes from allowing people to experience the product itself—supported by thoughtful motion, careful pacing, and a strong sense of atmosphere. That philosophy continues to influence how I approach product presentations today.
