Overview

Getsafe is a fully digital insurance app: buy, manage, and claim policies in minutes, no paperwork, no agents. Around 2020, the brand repositioned itself around a single idea: life happens, and that's fine, because Getsafe has it covered.
The line driving the work internally was simple, digital, stress-free, all in one app.

Motion Brand / App Presentation Video

The brand film and the motion guidelines behind it mixing kinetic type with real UI capture built as the reusable template for how Getsafe explains itself on video.

The Challenge

Insurance is perceived as complex and stressful, even when the product itself is simple. Getsafe needed to bridge that gap by making its promise of a seamless, digital-first experience feel believable across every touchpoint.
The challenge was to transform abstract claims like "easy" and "stress-free" into something users could immediately understand and trust.

Deliverables / selected projects:

Lottie System & Product Animation

Led the design and production of a 100+ file Lottie system for the Getsafe insurance app, shaping motion across core product flows and micro-interactions into a consistent UI layer, balancing performance, clarity, and brand expression within strict product constraints. Worked closely with engineering to define standards and establish a scalable, high-performance
JSON → .lottie workflow across teams.

A heart for moments worth celebrating, a check for confirmations, and the one place the brand allows itself to look sad, cancellation gets a broken heart, not a dead end.

Approach / Solution : Motion's job: prove it. Not say it.

Motion became the proof of the experience. Instead of telling people that insurance was simple and stress-free, I showed it through fast, clear interactions across the app, website, and campaigns. A single motion language connected product, brand, and marketing, creating a consistent experience at every touchpoint. The animations balanced playfulness with trust, helping the brand feel more human while building confidence in the product.

Outcome:

100,000 → 400,000 customers in two years.
Motion wasn't the only reason Getsafe scaled, but it was the consistent thread through it.
Every screen a customer touched, from first open to filed claim, looked and moved like it came from the same place, as the brand scaled into new markets.
